Final Conference E12 Atlantica
It is very gratifying to see the interest in and commitment to the results presented by the E12 Atlantica Transport project in Vaasa, Finland on 14th–15th March, 2018.
We wish to extend our thanks to the project’s working groups for a job well done, to our consultants and speakers for their excellent input and to the audience of over 100 participants for their great interest and commitment during the conference. Our partners now have access to modern planning and organization tools, enabling long-term sustainable cross-border cooperation. Before its completion on 31st May, E12 Atlantica Transport will conclude its operative phase and give its final report.
Finally, we wish to express our gratitude for all who have helped implement the project results. It is with great interest and faith in the future that we look forward to following and learning about the continued process for consolidating our unique cross-border cooperation! Best regards,

Welcome to the final conference – E12 Atlantica Transport
March 14-15, 2018 in Vaasa, Finland
E12 Atlantica Transport builds on an already strong relation between the three regions of Nordland, Västerbotten and Österbotten. So far, this collaboration has achieved important results and now is the time to take the cooperation to the next level.
In this EU-project, we have built unique knowledge and created common tools for future transport- and infrastructure development across three countries. Even though we share a homogenous region, our common geography is large. Thus, development of transport and infrastructure must be seen in a wider context to strengthen our advantages and competitiveness.
Soon the project will come to an end, it is the time to present the results and to discuss how to integrate them in our collaboration. We will share our plans for infrastructure- and transport development, a new more formalized organization for cross-border cooperation and a knowledge and dialogue process on cross-border infrastructure planning.
During the first conference day, we will also get to know and discuss results of the Interreg Baltic Sea Region Programme financed NSB CoRe -project aiming to improve the sustainable accessibility of the Eastern Baltic Sea Region to freight and passenger transport (the NSB CoRe workshops detailed program can be found HERE).
It’s time for us to share our new knowledge, we hope you will join us! Welcome!
Find the detailed programme HERE and register HERE (deadline for registration February 28).
